Randy Holt, PE as EVP – Operations & Engineering, brings more than 34 years of experience to CPX in all facets of upstream operations, working with both major public companies and private independents. Most recently Randy has gained experience drilling horizontal Wolfcamp wells in the Delaware Basin while building invaluable relationships with highly experienced local drilling and completion consultants and contractors. A core value for CPX, in all Basins, is finding the best consultants before executing.

Prior to this recent Delaware work Randy was VP of Operations at Petro Harvester Oil & Gas, LLC, a portfolio E&P company of TPG Capital where he directed all of the company’s Gulf Coast operations, helping grow the value of the company’s asset base to more than $400 million and gross production of 6,500 boe/d in three years.

Prior to joining Petro Harvester, Randy was Engineering Manager for Citrus Energy Corporation where he led all efforts to drill, complete and produce the company’s acreage position in the Marcellus Shale starting with the first wells staked to production of more than 100,000 Mcf/d and value of $450 million. Before joining Citrus, Randy had held a number of key management positions at Denbury Resources, Inc., including development of Denbury’s CO2 production at Jackson Dome; Asset Manager over the company’s Barnett Shale development; and finally as Drilling Manager where he founded the company’s drilling department.

Randy’s career began at the upstream division of Sun Oil Company, which later became Oryx Energy. He obtained his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
